Great idea especially with a lot of people staying home in light of COVID-19. I've been considering ways to stay connected with friends and family now that I'm spending more time alone.
I've been considering doing regular Google Hangouts with open invites to make hanging out feel more spontaneous.
So far this has been an interesting experiment for me. I've found that it's helped me do a better job of reflecting on small mistakes that ordinarily I wouldn't have given as much thought to.
I'm curious about other habits people have developed to get better at what they do.
True. For me, that makes the learning go by faster. Starting from scratch when I know nothing takes more mental energy. Using this game, it was easier for me to get more reps, meaning I learned names and faces quicker.
Interesting. How is this better than just sharing the Dockerfile directly? Or just having a free instance hosted on Heroku? It's not too hard to load a container. As an example https://github.com/discourse/discourse_docker makes it pretty straight forward to host discourse.
