Circular dealing or round tripping is a form of cooking books and sometimes results in accounting fraud. Especially when circular revenue is booked without cash flow growth. Do you see cash flow growth on any side of these transactions.
This is a big blow to High-end Luxury Branded Companies, Many of these companies willfully destroy unsold inventory to not devalue their Brand. Manufacturing costs are just 1/20th of the marketed price.

If you liquidate in market half the companies in SP500 will seem like they are broke even though by definition you need to be profitable to get into SP500.
But that is not how companies are valued at. They also are valued with potential.

Share holder tap isn’t dried up. He just need to open the tap with lower share price probably less that quarter a price he actually bought it for.
