I'm all for stopping phishing - and the tool sounds great - but the Web Store Extension listing is very concerning - even with a new company/offering - there's only 4 users - and 1 rating (a 5 of course) - I'd like to try - but seems phishy :-(
I'm all for stopping phishing - and the tool sounds great - but I have to say the Web Store Extension listing is very concerning - even with a new company/offering - there's only 4 users - and 1 rating (a 5 of course) - I'd like to try - but seems phishy :-(

don't feel bad - i don't get it either - doesn't add material value over email or texts, or skype, or any of the other tools we have - i think it may just be a millenial thang...
Looks really awesome and polished, great support/tutorials - a few things to consider:
- does not clearly state for iOS Mobile App development
- $299 might be a bit spendy if you don't get source export
- no/few testimonials (who else is using it successfully)
- how much better/faster is it; everyone claims this advantage
- what environment is it targeted for (individuals or small dev shops) and how does it fit with existing workflow?
- and yes, do you have a follow-up program to obtain input from Trial users?
i'm a private pilot and a software product manager - and i similarly don't know for sure - but think your conjecture is completely plausible - agile is fine and does have cost/productivity advantages - but i rather doubt you'll see the textbook version of it implemented by NASA - but everyone in commercial software is falling all over themselves to reduce software development costs and Agile is supposed to be the holy grail - I've seen it work just fine for line of business software - but I similarly share the concern that manufacturers of airplanes, medical electronics, power infrastructure are adopting it for cost-savings purposes and are not sufficiently concerned about the edge cases where it goes bad with devastating consequences - but that is the hallmark of capitalism - shareholders come first...
two thoughts:
1) to echo another contributor, universities and other not-for-profits seem to be much friendlier to aging workforces - startups and even established companies are not
2) avoid going into product management; stay with coding and learn the latest frameworks; product management is brutally tough on aging workers
I built this visual designer - the POC has a very targeted focus - but it can work with other image libraries to extend into many verticals. http://www.widgetlabs.us - or contact ken at widgetlabs dot us
Nice idea - makes sense on the surface - but I wonder if a 3rd party can actually do what the visionary cannot - yes they have sales and marketing chops - but they need the story, the connection to the original use case, and to provide feedback to the "too busy" developer - there are lots of "better mousetraps" that "should" sell, but often it takes the inventor, meeting the customer, sharing the passion, sharing the vision - to inspire an early adopter to take the leap...
Dude - don't bother! And don't get me wrong, I would love to see you succeed and prove me wrong - but the chances of success in this are like the proverbial "ice cube's chances in hell" - there's so many obstacles to success - regroup and solve a solvable problem...
1) yes there are a few privacy zealots, and they may care, but consumers do not - they will talk a mean streak about the importance of privacy but give it up in a second for any bit of freebie or customization (I know having worked on the PrivacyFix app - look it up)
2) The ecosystems are against you. No developer wants to write to and support their app on some obscure platform with a handful of users. Hackers may target your users just as a lark and to make press for hacking your unhardened app eco-system
3) Data storage is not free, and won't be. Users will upload troves of garbage photos and data and expect you to maintain it in perpetuity - that will not be free
4) Read up on asian hardware relationships - even if you get a few million dollars and spend all of it on a handset OEM - you'll need to be there on the ground every step of the production run and you'll probably get nothing but the crap that no reputable brand would take
5) and on security; why do you think that your team will be able to build and maintain a secure device and infrastructure? HomeDepot, Target, Experian, the NSA - have all had leaks and breaches - why would someone trust three guys working remote to do better at this than a meg corporation or the government?
* that's just the tip of the iceberg; not trying to be harsh - just don't want to see you waste a lot of time and crowd-sourced money on something with so little prospects of success
definitely - i built a online photo album web-app, thought it was pretty cool - you could upload photos, add captions, and then narrate a story to accompany it - much easier than typing of course - and well, if it was worth taking and posting - why not tell why it was so impactful - anyway - people were inherently too lazy - in this social media age people just barf a bunch of crap onto the internet and expect people to lavish over it...
easy - save 90% of it - but give 10% to a charity you trust to do smartly with it - then, consider how blessed you already are - if you are healthy, and smart (which it sounds like you are) then you are already miles ahead of your peers - take some time to realize how fortunate you are for where you are today - then - do as others say - contemplate your navel - think about how you love to spend your time - and do that - don't be a corporate suckup if you don't have to - do something you are proud of - then you will always be at peace :-)
holy shit - i guess i see it differently - seems like they want someone that can walk on water - knows all and sees all -
wants to work 24/7 - subsist on nothing but air - but maybe that's the norm expectation these days and i'm actually lucky to be a product manager
