I don't think ISP cannot see what I'm searching for if Google allows me to use HTTPS. When we use HTTPS, data is encrypted. But URLs I'm querying are still open for anyone. If someone knows that I queried, for example, http://www.google.co.uz/?q=google, it's pretty easy to understand what I've been searching for.
True. But I think in this situation no one except Google will be happy (and I doubt they'll be happy too). Web analytics helps webmasters make their sites more attractive for end users. I use Google Analytics on most of my sites, but I don't like the way how Google tries to "encourage" others to do it.
To be honest, I don't understand how using HTTPS in Google search will help users to browse web more securely. I am not going to use this feature. The bad thing is that lots of non-technical users who care about security and privacy will use it, and they'll get an illusion that their web surfing has become more secure.

I think using Google Chart API is much better than using these plugins. Lots of chart types, easy to make, gives high-quality result, and support all browsers that can display images.

When we talk about software development, it's easy to spread the value created by the community to all people. What about other spheres of economy (agriculture, for example), it's much more difficult.
The nature was forming for millions of years, and I don't think humans are smart enough to hack it, sometimes we are not able to hack computers that we have invented. This climate change is because of attempts to hack the planet. I am not against the progress, but when we interfere in the nature, we should think more than twice.
I think it would be better to take advantage of JavaScript's flexibility instead of trying to make Java on steroids of this language. People began to use dynamic types to speed up development and make it more flexible.
But I agree that sometimes we have to check variable types in JS, so this library can help. But for me these cases are rare.
The question is: should we adapt technology according to national characteristics, Technology seems to make cultural borders disappear, but sometimes these borders are very strong.
Of course, every system of education does not encourage characteristics of good enterpreneurs - independence and thinking differently. They are crerated to produce good workers - those people who will work for enterpreneurs. And I don't think this atricle encourages people to drop out of college - those who have bravity to do this will do it anyway, and others will finish grad school.
Of course you should permit to run such tests only if you are sure you are dealing with site owners or their representatives. You can use the system that is used in Google webmasters tools - users can confirm their ownership by adding specific document or meta-tag. Also - registration system's usability is not perfect. But the idea is great - I would use this service.
Yes, startups make their job better than big companies. But I think that it is a part of a more general rule: people work productively in OPEN systems, and the open systems themselves encourage working hard. Open source projects are developed more rapidly, because it is hard to imagine the system which is more open. Both users and developers control the system, and every user can become a developer. In startups we have a limited number of people who can control the process of development, but they still controll it. In other words, the system is open for founders and employees. Big companies work unefficiently because they are too closed, and a great number of checks is only a part of it.
