There was an issue on Claude Code the other day where it would only wait 60 seconds when it had asked a set of questions, then if it didn't get a response from the user it would just continue however it thought was best. Completely unusable. It took them nearly 48 hours to merge a fix.
Slightly unrelated but do yourself a favour and download the Alt Tab app for MacOS. I haven't used a Windows machine daily for a long time but that window switching behaviour never went away for me, especially if I'm working on just the laptop screen.
Plugins and skills are completely trivial to move and most work with any model. What is not trivial are Anthropic's new managed agents vendor lock-in offering.
I am also leading a small team of myself and 2 others and we're getting a lot done. The short lines of communication of being a small group + the power of agents has been great for us.
Baader Meinhof alert. I had never heard of this civilisation, and their foggara water system, until I listened to the In Our Time episode a couple of days ago, and now here they are on HN.
Your spidey sense is failing you, you're making assumptions you've got no ground for. I've voted for left of centre parties all my life. I was born in the NHS and I'll probably die there too.
It's a bad example because the last 5+ years in UK/US have seen an epidemic of child vaping and nicotine addiction when it was illegal for them to have it, while the Tobacco companies fight tooth and nail against regulation on fruity flavours and bright colours.
I don't want to scrap laws. In Britain we're 20 years ahead of the US on this (see Gambling Act 2005). Gambling laws are written by the gambling industry so no parent should think that the law will do anything to help their child.
I was saddened by just the headline and photo of the one last week.
The BBC and UK news readers in general absolutely love stories about child abusers, so they get prominent placing (and even a live blog on the sentencing last week)
