The time given to the model. So the difference between two generations is just somethng trivially different like: "12:35" vs 12:36"

It's actually quite fascinating if you watch it for 5 minutes. Some models are overall bad, but others nail it in one minute and butcher it in the next.

It's perhaps the best example I have seen of model drift driven by just small, seemingly unimportant changes to the prompt.

Well, for what it's worth the US is already 'getting its ass handed to it’ in real modern warfare.

The US has been playing defense with the misinformation campaigns and fake narratives created by adversary totalitarian states that salivate over the idea of dethroning the US from its implicit world leader status.

Sometimes it really feels like we are doing exactly what they want. To create a self-inflicted societal fracture and to blame it on America's favorite scape goat, Big Tech. Like if that was our real problem. The very same thing that is giving the US an edge right now (technology) is the very same thing that gets attacked by right and left politicians alike. How convenient for Russia and China, isn't it?

Imagine having a business model so fragile that your only line of defense is to obscure the cancellation process through these tactics. Do they really think that they can curve their churn this way?

I mean best you’re doing is getting maybe another month or so of revenue from a customer who is just pushing the pain of cancelling because they are busy or lazy.

And at the end instead of getting what could be a dormant customer who can sign up later again, what you get is someone who hates your company.

What an incredibly stupid way to erode the brand of a publication, whose major asset to survive is precisely its brand.

I keep paying my health insurance premium at my home country just because the health insurance in the US is completely broken. I feel that if you get seriously sick in the US you're in an almost sure path to financial insolvency.

My employer pays probably a shit ton of money for my health insurance and what I get is the most subpar, confusing, broken and sometimes blatantly extortive service ever.

I live in Austin and sometimes I think if I really need a major procedure it would be just simpler to drive to Mexico and get it done there. In fact, that's what many people in South Texas do, so there's your benchmark for how broken is healthcare in the US.

Quite the contrary. Expect to see a lot of M&A activity this year. These are times where companies with positive cash flow can do strategic acquisitions at a discount.

The Magic Leap device at least worked and had a wow factor even though it didn't have a market fit. I prefer Juicero. That's really a prime example of overhyped and overpriced tech investments.

I think what shouldn't be tolerated are paywalled articles.

How are you supposed to discuss something that is not freely distributed?
