Since NASA demonstrates it is possible to keep servicing software on a 50 years old hardware, traveling into space far far away, I want someone to buy software and original tooling rights for the Nokia 1100. Then prepare a firmware upgrade for the variant with WAP capabilities to replace them with a more modern, very optimized, stack and have it installed on the (millions of) remaining devices. Then deal with carriers convincing them to provide ad-hoc 2G CSD service. Finally setting up internet services for the puny device. One can always dream.

With recutils csv2rec I have my invoices list.

With recutils recsel | recfmt -f template.fodt I have my invoices.

soffice and curl to generate .pdf s and email them off.

With recutils recset I have my invoices status updated. Done.

Minimalist vps, download the executable, copy and paste apache config, activate and you are good to go. With certain providers you don't even need to buy a domain.

Personal, small and medium sized projects are 99% of all projects.

You are a big name --> don't need GH for followers and contributors. You are a small potato --> GH gives way more followers than contributors.

CI/CD is not good on GH either.

At this point the problem is discovery. With a federated search engine the actual forge host would not be an issue anymore.

I wonder if delegating LiFi to do downstream and very narrow bands of Wifi for upstream would solve congestion problems. As example if existing smartphones could receive LiFi signal with current front facing sensors.

I was referring to looking at a display to be timely informed about an event, crossing the threshold out of acceptable air quality, that can occur at any time of the day. If air quality is consistently bad you don’t need a measuring device but a good air filter. If instead it is not then relying on constantly looking at it is a poor solution.

To be honest, if you have to look at a display to be alerted about bad air quality it’s likely either you know about it already or you are needlessly obsessing. Either way it is the reason I built a service to remote push notify myself. Peace if mind.
