Well, in the US, you're likely to get shot, stabbed, or beaten up. "Scary" is relative here. Words aren't scary, getting shot at by criminals is. Oh and wait until you have an encounter with the Police in the US. There is a lot to take for-granted in Europe and Germany. Oh and 2 weeks vacation, typically well over 40 hours, and typically less concern over your work related stress.
The big question is can free speech go too far? If I threaten to murder your family and "in my opinion" accuse you of horrible crimes--again in my opinion. When does it go too far. I am US Citizen living in Germany for over a year now, and I appreciate these laws.
