3?? seems more like they gave them the wrong drugs
I believe some zoos are vaccinating their animals. This article doesn't mention whether these animals were vaccinated or not?
I'm finding the stories of a wide range of animals being susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 worrisome, as it seems to indicate that even in optimistic scenarios there are going to be significant reservoirs of the virus and diverse variants in the wild, well, forever, periodically breaking out into the broader human population, often from some random initial animal vector.
We're never going to eradicate it at this point, it is going to remain endemic in perpetuity, as common as the flu but significantly deadlier.
