Ask HN: What festivities besides Christmas do you celebrate in your companies?

Christmas is probably celebrated in most companies - especially in the "western world". But what about other festivals like Hannukah, Qwanza, May 5 :-) etc. - Do you celebrate these in companies and get time off for them?

Please answer with: in which country, which days you get off, which days you celebrate, and what you do during that time to "get in the spirit".

For example: Christmas in Germany is 2-3 days off (paid), but it starts about 1 month before with Christmas markets, Christmas lights in the streets and lots of cookies and mulled wine. In companies, a Christmas tree is often decorated, cookies are provided, and a Christmas party is held one evening in December with all employees.

Chinese New Year. The company would arrange for people from the local Chinese community in Manchester, UK to come and perform the traditional dragon dance in costume. The drums were pretty loud!
