TODO, as the name implies, should be things that must be done. Anything aspirational could be left as a mere ordinary comment.
Personally I hate TODOs and only see them as temporary things to act as placeholders for the correct code. At some point, I will go through all todos and clear them.
The brighter side is when the shit hits the fan both the universities and bullshit degree holders will be the losers. Economy will recover in a few years and we will have a better economy.
The entire threat perception around nuclear is a result of american wussification around anything nuclear. In few years nuclear tech would be really low tech and all nations such as Iran or North Korea will have nuke power any ways. It is pointless on part of nato to mas-sturbate so much to nuclear proliferation and hurt world's chances of having a better future.
Say a somalian pirate managed to steal some parts of a containership, what is the big deal ?
These are changes to "application" only. It has nothing to do with H1B itself. H1B program has been currently a textbook example of government incompetence. I shudder to think how the US government would have treated its citizens (or part there of) if they could not vote.
This is a minor rejig of the application process that aims at making the process less transparent, waste more visas (by not giving them to anyone) and makes life easy for those who skirt the law.
They might be shooting themselves in foot here. Part of the reason why Microsoft is so big and why there is a PC n every home is because many of us could pirate Windows and Office in early days. That reduced barrier to entry and enabled poor folks in India and elsewhere use computers and be familiar with all other MS technologies.
Because some of us want our government not to protect our Food and Cars as well. Data is one area where humanity has made the fastest progress compared to Cars and Food.
I am not even sure why Windows matters anymore. MS probably gives 0 fucks about your usual consumers and cares only about those customers who will also buy Office365 subscription.
This move is already proving pretty awesome for homebuyers like me as more builders seem to be focusing on "build and sell" not instead of "build and rent out".
