This is a very long document that says nothing about chunking at first skim. If chunking is actually wrong, then just explain why, here. Wasting space is not actually a problem if it’s optimized for other purposes instead.

I mean you wanted something objective, and they are. I don’t know why you’re being dismissive of them, they’re a huge element of what drives model development forward.

These companies aren’t just making stuff up, they really do want to improve the models, and the models really are improving.

Yep, and the majority of them are children. It’s so horrific that it deserves to be brought up any time Musk is mentioned for the rest of his life.

Come on, these conspiracy theories make no sense, Anthropic isn’t even a publicly traded company.

There are objective metrics, that’s what benchmarks are.

The idea that progress is “slow” in the AI space is absurd. These are some of the fastest growing products and companies of all time. The models are still improving a surprising amount.

If you’re implying that the government is in on it and is doing this stuff intentionally in order to boost Anthropic, that’s ridiculous.

Except he says nothing about the system, he only talks about the founder.

That’s the stock, which has very little relation to how the company itself is doing, especially in Tesla’s case!

no, that’s Nasdaq not S&P
MattRix

yup, and elon hinted at it in podcast interviews during the past year as well

I mean maybe I’m missing the point but it seems like it’s intended to be more of a tool for debugging race conditions, than a runtime you actually ship with. For that purpose I think using an LLM is fine.

Do you think it would be a good thing if all music (for example) was made with AI and not by humans? What a lot of people in tech right now don’t seem to get is that art is about how it transforms the artist, not just the final product.

Yes, but input is usually what people are talking about since that is the vast majority of token usage.
MattRix
·vorige maand·discuss
Yeah… that’s the point I was making.

Opus is normally $5 per mtok, no idea why anyone would use /fast if they were at all concerned about price. ($5 is still pricy though tbh)

Yes? There is 5x more code to optimize the ASM for.
MattRix
·vorige maand·discuss
Ok and now where is the source code for the tool?

It’s obvious you’re not an expert at the topic because we can all read the original article and then read your posts in this thread…

If it didn’t have the clickbaity title you probably would have never known the article existed.
