A general rule of thumbs to be accepted is just like your body, your mind has the same intervals or even more.
You might sometimes do for procrastinatingwhich leveraging your creativity and there are a few time you do preps. The only thing I do is to stay to be in frame of thinking on goal and according to the urgency get it done. I need a list of things to be done everyday as well and mostly see myself happy once over achieved., so my mind got trained to react on how to get serotonin. :)
Agreed. Had the same experience after getting dropped from my own company by the board politically, although the business was booming. Though tried to join few corporate as a entrepreneur in house, but didn't work out. Its better to recover with small group of folks rather than big ones. It bring back the morality.

Echoing mates here, a written conversation can be supportive though I offer as an experience is to make the conversation friendly, interactive, use of simple phrases and avoid proverb/slang and getting a recap at the end could be constructive.
The things though here is that comes rather neutral. Neither bad nor a good, but false or positive symptoms. That could a better starting point to take actions to strengthen the positive ones and get rid of false.

Why don't you give them a week off to have a trip around on their own with family (company paid with a certain budget) and share their pictures live to make a wall of family virtually on a landing page. Leaving comments would be beneficiary too
