Fish do not work that way. If humans nuke themselfs, fish will recover in a few decades.

A literal ton of cargo in a trailer is nothing extraordinary. Did you ever lived on a farm?

Extra parking would bring in "poor" people who live in France, Italy or Germany but commute to work in Switzerland. Just another form of elitism.

Unsupported devices can always become somehow supported and enabled. To harden computer, you remove WiFi cards, cut on-board antennas, desolder mics and speakers, desolder USB ports...

I did that for computer that was used to sign bitcoin transactions offline. User typed hashes manually...

It is the process that makes it hard and expensive. Even bringing this to court costs money.

Extracting money from normal people is nearly automated.

There is always some person punishable.

I bet it is not profitable to enforce such fines!

Speeding tickets are hard to prove. Normal small person just pays fines with zero cost to police. Big corporation have lawyers, and will fight it, with all camera evidence from self driving car...

> often wonder how technology would look today if Netscape hadn’t been crushed for threatening Microsoft’s os dominance

> technologies went through a dark age without innovation until Chrome

IE was pretty innovative, it introduced AJAX (async javascript requests...), web version of Outlook in 1998...

There was also Opera browser, pretty innovative, it introduced tabs, mouse gestures, user styles, no script, basic adblocking... It could run on anything, even phone without MMU.
