I built Codeown because I wanted a place to share the messy, daily progress of coding, not just the polished final results. It’s a space where you post your WIPs, bugs, and daily commits to earn XP and stay consistent with other builders.

110+ developers are currently shipping there. I’d love to hear what this community thinks about the concept.

Hi HN, I’m Amin. I started building codeown.space because I wanted a dedicated space to share "Proof of Work" without the noise of major social networks. It’s built with React, Typescript, clerk & Supabase. I recently hit 25 users and just surpassed 48k lines of code as a solo founder.

Key features:

Public project changelogs to track shipping.

Direct messaging and feedback loops.

Embeddable badges for your own site.

I’d love to get some technical feedback on the architecture and UI.

I built this because I noticed many side projects die in silence. Codeown helps developers document their journey from the first line of code to the final ship. 17 builders are already sharing their daily logs. Would love your feedback on the UX and the concept.

I built Codeown at 15 because I felt that most of my side projects were dying in private repositories without ever being seen. While social media is great for quick updates, it’s noisy and not built for technical documentation.

Codeown is a dedicated space where you can:

Showcase your full tech stack for each project.

Document your progress through dev logs and updates.

Build a proof-of-work portfolio that focuses on the building process, not just the final result.

I’m a solo founder building this in public, and I just moved the infrastructure to Supabase Storage to keep it fast and lightweight. I would love to get your feedback on the concept and the UI.

WIP and Peerlist to see how I can offer something unique. I'm building Codeown to learn, but seeing people actually post projects makes me want to take it to the next level. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the UI and the typeface choice.

You made a very valid point regarding the differentiation from X or Bluesky. My initial goal was to build the 'core' community feel first, but I completely agree that Git integration is the logical next step.

I’m currently looking into the GitHub API to allow users to pull their repository stats or latest commits directly into their project logs. This would make the 'Build in Public' process much more automated and unique to our field.

Thanks for the encouragement it means a lot to me as I iterate on this!
