I have an idea in healthcare sector in India. For that i personally made a field study and went to 30 potential. I had made a decent presentation of the basic 3 features and went as a direct walk ins . Half of them were not only willing to use my "product" (which wasnt built yet) but also write a cheque for it. They were bargaining on price at that instant
This was 3 months back. I already run a growing fmcg business . It has drained me of time and resources. I cant find time to give it for this project. I am decent in marketing and especially cold calls and walk ins so i am confident to get things done. But existing commitments and ventures are making it hard for starting the project.
I run a small firm supplying air freshener services - dispenser along with monthly refilling.
Manufacturing and selling water based air fresheners, car air fresheners, scented wood balls for cupboard.
Recurring is growing fast. First is a service - I make around 3k USD in recurring revenue. Profit margins are good.
Another counter sales is also periodic not monthly though unevenly amongst clients however it has been launched two months ago and had 2k in first and 3.5K in second in revenue. Here too i manage good margins because i havent yet made into big retail. Its increasing rapidly and consuming resources and money.
Non recurring but periodic
Also sell air freshener products suitable for larger areas like custom diffusers etc revenue ranges anywhere from 0.5-2.5K USD each month.
I do but i am not so good as compared to others. Also i can understand the parts quickly but i dont know i am good enough to make it commercially. I am at beginner's level of ROR i had made a small data management system and hostd it on heroku for my company.
yes, you are correct. There is a bottleneck of how much i can grow hitting at individual clients as corporates. Also you are correct that i can add more products and supply those too in addition.
The market i am targeting is commercial and has a limit to how much i can grow and manage. But, I need volume to grow and probably move a brand to retail chain stores to actually be realise some good overall cumulative profits. Otherwise whatever i start, will be a small business and wont be able to become large over time. Even after this much time i still have no idea how to make this business grow to multi-city or state.
I take engineering applied mathematics tuition part time for students in Mumbai.
Certain things i learned from the students (opinions of students) after discussing and inferring from their daily progress.
1. Maths is dry and we have to be in different plane of imagination to study it.
2. In lecture hall they are mostly pondering about how the end result has come into being.(instead of why it should come)
3. Look for tricks emphasis on remembering things/patterns.
4. When you think on how to solve a problem means solve the equation according to the pattern learned. It's like they have put some identifiers on the problems if they see something similar they will use the pattern.
5. The textbook is the ultimate authority if it says so don't ask why because -- "its printed there so it must work", trust issues are imminent.
I drew these insights because they recurred during tests, discussions, question and answer sessions. Most of the time students would tell the problems if someone asks them.
What i found difficult was to pin point the problems from the symptoms. Some of the faults are with the books and others with the teaching system in India. Students i found, are always eager to work hard if they feel they are appreciated over minuscule achievements, so can't really blame them for developing these conceptions.
looks like modern day Frank Abagnale Jr. to me. Only thing is it has a lot of moving parts. I think more maintenance and power issues. Hope they work out the case when the machine fails in middle of operation. People will break this add on in that case.
The best book imho will be "Bhagvadgita as it is". Problem is it is a religious book and hence people are going to be biased about it. But if you are willing to let go the thiest or athiest part (leave the commentaries seriously!), the very meaningful part of the book can be seen .
This book is a conversation taking place on the war field and depicts the persons inability to take decision to go ahead because of various questions. I recommend going only through 2nd chapter and no further, it would be an overkill.
In normal life the important part is to get determined to work and get it done .The theory postulated in the 2nd chapter seems to work in the practical life effectively when Krishna tells arjuna to go on with the war and he is reluctant to do so as he finds it immoral , full of vain and dangerous to social well being of everyone. He doubts himself . The weak in his heart and unrest sets in his mind, a common thing occurring in almost all of us . He seeks the answer to all this questions and this is what the reason of the conversation.
IMO the book requires considerably unbiased mind and hence its a hard read. It is not supposed to be inspiring it is supposed to work . Considering this , you wont find any magical arrangement of words so it should be taken as theory and used in practical cases . Well if it works for you then great or you can just ignore it . But surely with proper reasons of course :)
I think israel war tactics are better. They are creating phobia amongst all the Hamas leaders and members. They are deliberately showing their superior discipline and power and challenging the indisciplined hamas members.
Good thing is they killed a well known military leader and a terrorist . Just to send a message , I mean striking terror in the heart of enemy is the single most accurate technique that has worked since the origin of war. I think those who volunteer for Hamas now will think twice about it.
Frankly enforcing religion in military used to work when people fought with knives and swords . Here most wars are won with discipline and intelligence . No religion led military will ever win , they are just a bunch of monkeys jumping here and there and are too emotional to think with their heads .
