Frontend is a low bar for anyone and is the exact job which will be wiped out by AI. You are trapped in your own skillset prison that you don't understand what more complex engineering looks like.

In fact, your platform is broken, since its focus on visual selling is the same bias as having photos on a resume. So you are not improving over LinkedIn.
Make a primarily text only platform, and visual showcase should only be of things you have done. All non-objective things should be removed. Then make hooks for applying to jobs so everything gets filled in one click.
You do know what's a mailing list right? You seem to be confusing it with GitHub.
A mailing list can go down and nothing would happen. The main point is to post patches to the maintainer. The mailing list is for a public record of things.
The only centralised thing is repo hosting on kernel.org. And that isn't the only official place, you can get the repo published on googlesource or GitHub, so it isn't exactly central enough.
