There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.
A year ago, I was on Facebook constantly. At one point, I realized that I could do better things with the time wasted there so I installed News Feed Eradicator (I learned about it in a podcast. I think a Peter Attia podcast, but I could be wrong). Anyway, now Facebook is alien to me. I still have it on my laptop, and if I need to search something of for someone,I can use Facebook. But I don't have access to scrolling. I don't have a wall anymore. lol. I don't have the app on my phone though. I feel super.
Not my comment, but definitely my thought. I couldn't agree more!
this makes me sad.... ppl think when China opened borders, we can export democracy and help make the Chinese government more liberal and democratic. Decades later, it appears to be the other way around. The west has raised a monster, instead of embracing more democratic values, it cracks down human rights, sets up re-education camps, exploits minorities, forces foreign companies to comply & self-censored, amped up surveillance and censorships while their most of its citizens couldn't care less as long as they are well-off..... Now, the west experiences Chinese export censorship & One China policy thru corporations, sports, cultures, entertainment etc because we all depend on China and they hold the life chord of many businesses and governments. It feels like a Chinese dystopia future isn't far off
Peebles has been a giant in cosmology over the past 50 years, when cosmology has gone from really speculation to precision measurements. There's a decent argument that he should have been included in the 1978 prize with Penzias and Wilson. He's getting old and this might be the last time the committee could sweetie him in.
Funny affirmation: If nobody could be bothered with the math, then I was no better than Gwenyth Paltrow hawking vagina eggs.
