Per the FCC, "Federal law prohibits the operation, marketing, or sale of any type of jamming equipment, including devices that interfere with cellular and Personal Communication Services, police radar, Global Positioning Systems, and wireless networking services (Wi-Fi)."
Although, I'm sure an exception would be made for law enforcement on the grounds of national security.
However, like most app games that potential revenue isn't sustainable. Users stop downloading, stop playing, stop paying. Some new app game comes along and users move on.
This is pretty much why I hate ticketmaster. Too many brokers/scammers using programs like this, so the everyday consumer can't purchase tickets as they're sold out before the presale!
Are there any sites out there keeping track of how Congressional reps will vote? I just got a letter from my Senator saying she supports SOPA (and turns out is a sponsor of the bill). Gillibrand-NY
One cannot patent anything that naturally exists. But one can patent strategies. Business methods, medical, and, until recently, tax strategies can be patented. Tax strategy patents were recently banned in the America Invents Act. There has been legislation to ban medical strategy/method patents, and frankly I'm surprised it hasn't been banned yet legislatively. And the federal courts in the past have limited business strategy patents (Bilski v. Kappos). It seems to me SCOTUS should move to limit medical strategy patents in their decision. But if they don't, this may spur Congress to actually do something.
This is a great and much needed. It's unfortunate Facebook doesn't offer this as a general setting when you're prompted. Thanks for putting this together!
The same reason that pizza is now a vegetable, they only want to tackle topics that are backed by their donating special interests. We need to fight back against those corporations that are supporting this bill.
