This does seem to be more of an effort to bring digital ID in via a backdoor - the proposal is less "under 16 social media ban" rather "over 16 will need to provide id to use social media"
I'd prefer that we had some standardised governmental endpoint that can authorise against a site for us, rather than use multiple individual methodologies to prove
I'm autistic and have misophonia and hyperacusis, not to mention auditory processing issues which mean I'm more likely to lock on to a noise rather than what I actually would like to listen to.
There's so much noise around - it really does tie in to the "social model of disability" in that a lot of my issues would disappear if environments weren't so hostile - that includes noise, smells, and lights.
I'm audhd also and the truly disabling part of my neurotype is the fact that I can do things and focus, I just can't choose when and where and what my focus is on.
I'm Audhd, 50, and my experience mirrors yours, although I can fall asleep earlier, but it's a die throw whether I wake around 3am or sleep fully until 7am.
The worst aspect is that I seem to procrastinate fun things now - like gaming, or making music.

I was diagnosed with aspergers just as this happened - basically new information came out showing he'd sent the higher support need autistic kids off for experimentation so they'd leave him alone with his lower support needs autistic kids.

The only thing that I found interesting was with regards to choosing focus days, as I just cannot do that - I don't know hour to hour whether I will be able to focus or not, it's always a total battle.
However, my hack is that when coding I need to watch something silly: like cooking shows, reality tv etc - something I can partially ignore.
This was a fix I discovered about 20 years ago and it's helped me ever since, I've always described it as keeping the child portion of my brain happy whilst the adult portion gets on with its job.
I was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD (what was ADD) 8 months ago, medication really helps with emotional regulation and staying on task - yet I can still code better when I'm watching some random rubbish.
