The 2 big ones that are rare, not done well, or horrible implementations in other languages are:

1. programming directly in the abstract syntax tree.

2. interaction with the live running program as you develop. The write/build/observe cycle is much much tighter and closer to real time. Basically just tap a keybind and your source code modification is applied to the live running image.

#1. In most languages the program is first parsed into an AST, then compiled to machine code. In Lisp, you actually start right programming your source code directly in the AST, so there is no (in theory) parsing step needed. This allows you create domain specific languages. Maybe embed a query language like Linq in C# only you don't need to wait for Microsoft to invent Linq. Syntactic sugar can be added. Sometimes performance benefits can be had, as processing can be moved to compile time instead of run-time, but this is pretty limited as all inputs need to be known at expansion time. #1 can never be done quite as well in other languages because their base language is littered with syntax. And you don't need to be a god-tier expert to do these kinds of things. Average Joe can utilize the AST after a few days of study.

#2 is sort of analogous to pressing F12 in a web browser and playing with the CSS color settings. You see your change immediately. A lot of detractors of live image programming say the builds are not reproducible. That's utter BS, the live interaction is just 1 tool in the box. You still use source control and still have a make file or whatever that can re-build from scratch.

Willpower is exactly why they eat more. They feel a pang of hunger in their grossly stretched out stomach and can't resist eating.

The drug does not remove fat. It removes the feeling of hunger. Assume both groups have little willpower (they are fat after all). The control group feels hunger and continues satisfying that hunger with food as they have no will power. The group with suppressed hunger from the drug also have no willpower, but since they feel no hunger they eat normal amounts.

They don't want the consequences of overeating. But yes, I do believe they choose to eat the amounts they do.

> There is more to weight gain than lack of willpower.

Is there? The study you quoted suggests the opposite. The drug doesn't directly cause fat to melt off. The fat is lost by eating less. Why is the control group eating more? lack of....

Or you could just choose to eat good foods at the proper amount. All this study, science, drugs, surgery, etc. Just to achieve nothing more than than eating normally would achieve.

But an appetite drug sounds like a better option than having parts of the stomach and intestines surgically removed.

lol, no. I trust they will violate privacy always. Zuckerberg said people who choose to use facebook are "dumb fucks".
