It's not about policies. Policies are entirely different but equally self serving.
I'm astounded that there are blacks living in ghettos but Nancy Pelosi shuts Govt down for people who are pondered to by speaking Spanish but paraded as having known no other culture and assimilated.
I fear that HN has need taken over by people drinking Google kool aid just because Google buys devs with free stuff.
This is obviously a very radical scenario but if Google did open source on principal, they'd open source some of their profit making stuff that is also unique in class. I'm not asking they should, I'm just saying it's stupid to assume they have anyone's but shareholders interests in mind
On a side note I recently learnt that ESR is against Obama care. Surprising, I can understand someone young not liking having to pay mandatory insurance but he's old.
I don't necessarily agree but or at all but the downvotes have made this alternative opinion too light to read. Chill out people.
Google isn't some benevolent entity. They've recently been on a hiring spree for Republican lobbyists (which most here consider much more evil than democrats). Personally I think both parties are not that different.
I feel bad posting this here but if you can wade through the terrible language there's a lot of good architecture comparative info on this page- https://archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/140759957/
Coin base if you're reading this I'm waiting for you to reply here unless you want me to go to another exchange. I'm going to be buying some stuff soon.
I notice that the author put a lot of emphasis on security and walking off his devices. I understand that he has a background in crypto/security and also the when I had learnt that stuff and it was fresh I was "paranoid" too.
That having said, is that really an issue in China? Wherever you go you get hacked?
What is? And do you have an OS that you are comfortable calling "secure"? Remember security through obscurity as enjoyed by Mac and Linux doesn't apply here because there is actual money and hence incentive to find vulnerability at stake.
Sure you're not spreading your own here?
