I mean, my thought is that if a high volume of spam causes other email servers to block Helm, then it makes it unusable to the good actors in the system. I didn't see the CEO address this.
No offense, but given that you are making a product that has a much higher potential to enable bad actors than usual, isn't it kind of you/your company's job to try to solve it?
EDIT: Just realized I responded to the wrong person :(
I will say, that's one reason why I've been tending towards NPR/PBS for my news source. It seems more likely to me that I am the customer when there aren't any advertisers (besides the occasional "supported by" blurb that lasts a few seconds).
That makes me wonder, what kind of bandwidth could you get out there? Obviously latency will be bad, but if bandwidth is good enough they might still be able to download a data pack daily containing messages from loved ones, news, and the occasional movie
There's also an argument to be made for Bell labs, back when Bell had a monopoly on the phone lines there were some amazing developments to come out of Bell Labs
Given that the quoted sentence ends with

I assume your scenario would fall under this
I assume they mean the extra costs in those areas due to driving, for example, driving for Uber will cause you to use your car much more, which can wear your car down faster.
While I think the other commenter on this post stated their point unhelpfully rudely, I agree that I think you're writing the child off too quickly. I'd imagine that giving up on a kid at this stage would only make it less likely that they realize how terrible they are being.
Even if adults don't know that a kid is being shitty, they can still lead by example towards a happier outcome
Agreeing with other comments, that seems like a problem with warrants in general, not with some supposed technology. If cops can get a warrant to raid anyone's house then of course they'd be able to get a warrant to raid anyone's phone in this situation. The solution to that issue would be to fix how warrants are granted to make them less prone to abuse. But that seems like an entirely different debate.
> polygamy, child abuse, and endless fast and testimony meetings
Speaking anecdotally about my experiences in Oregon with Mormon friends, this feels like a gross misrepresentation. I haven't seen any of these situations pop up, and certainly not in any way that would cause it to be systemic.
Do your best to avoid pissing off or making yourself known to crazies, and do your best to make sure that any actions that might piss off crazies or make you a public figure can't be traced back to an address.
It's not a great solution, and there might be other ways, but this would be the common advice. It's not exactly feasible all the time though.
If it's FTC robotics, they typically use an app framework that manages the wireless connection and enforces some game rules (ex: autonomous vs driver controlled period), and they just program in Robot behavior around that.
Or at least that's how it was when I left a couple years ago.
