Wouldn't that create a bad incentive to not report crime then? Seems like the right response is to have the police/CPS act properly than to try and hold Karen's accountable.
Had the recipient bought cryptocurrencies with the proceeds, I wonder how much harder that would be to claw back. Could they still come out on top if they sell the house they bought for a profit?
What a dramatic response to what amounted to a slap on the wrist for his flagrant disregard for the law. The man is smart enough to make millions breaking the law, he will be just fine after serving some time.
I think that proving sentience is much harder than simply demonstrating something imitating it. Giving the AI additional freedoms would be way more telling.
How would it behave if it could send messages without being prompted? Does it message you when its lonely? If it truly has feelings and is responding to them then it should be acting upon its desires and modifying its behavior to achieve what it wants .
