I completely broke down and put in all my sick leave. I haven't cried like this in years and I have to go through therapy and all the things. I'm going to be ohkay at least my code still works and is still making the company I currently work for a lot of money. So I am just taking some time off to heal myself and address my burnout at the same time. There is hope after falling hard like that.

I got recruited for a an interview at a fund management firm. Went through four interviews and got rejected a week later after the 4th interview. Companies don't realise some of as are so burnt out and have worked so hard during the pandemic. I removed myself from LinkedIn because of it. No hard working dedicated dev should be treated like the past didn't happen. I know what you guy's and girls are going through and I just want you to remind you you are more precious than gold and diamonds and you don't need beaurocrazy to validate determine your value. We will continue to build a better world and treat our future candidates with respect they deserve and not make them jump through impossible hoops designed for idealist machinemen
