This must be why Europe just kills everyone over age 75, since it is impossible to support the elderly without 12-lane highways and subsidized gasoline.

Funny how you consider less parking to be outsourcing, but you wouldn't consider free parking to be subsidizing. Curious.

If only there were other ways to get around in high-density areas that didn't necessitate a private vehicle. Could we all brainstorm some ideas?

Aye. Can't have your cake (car) and eat (drive) it, too. You just get 40 years of pussyfooting around the problem and making it worse.

The market economy has solved none of these problems, and I suggest looking up just how socioeconomically mobile people in the US really are (it's not great).

Erm, DNS uses Punycode because it comes from a time when Unicode didn't exist, and bind assumes a grapheme has no more than one byte.

This sounds like a great use case for tmux. Have one (1) terminal open, and as many panes/tabs/whatever as you need.

You can remap the prefix key...

I do, because I'm a professional who needs to get work done, instead of dicking around in React all day and writing edgelord blog posts about 40-year-old tools.

Lmao yeah, a hype train that began in checks notes 1987 when screen was released.

These children have zero knowledge of history or the craft itself, and I wish we could take away their computers.

Heh. I still remember when we made fun of people for not being able to hack it on the terminal (and we were all still using screen back then to be productive). Tech is such an irrational pop culture. Nobody has respect for history, and anything old is automatically labeled elitist. Where did we go wrong?
