Just like all organizations are naturally self-expanding and self-perpetuating. Same with all organizations building software. The natural pressure is to expand. It is hard to resist it.

We are a much smaller team than Meta and all-in with agentic-coding. But even we are seeing value in specialization of roles. There is so much to be done. Why have PMs work with coding agents to code the product when they aren't going to do as good a job as an Dev will? Have the PMs do research, competitive analysis, mockups, prioritization, etc

I found New England particularly difficult in this regard. Even my neighbors don't want to talk. But, I love this thread. It is so fun to bump into a person and share life for a few minutes. For me, if I'm busy and stressed I don't do this so a lot of it is about my own headspace.
