The OpenID Foundation has announced a public review period for proposed implementer’s draft of OpenID for Verifiable Credential Issuance including support for SD-JWT VC, mDL, and VCDM credentials.
A provisional agreement on the Regulation amending Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 as regards establishing a framework for a European Digital Identity was reached on 8 November between the European Parliament and the Council.
The Digital Identity Standards report, released in July, proposes new recommendations for standardization organizations, government agencies and policymakers. Special attention is paid to the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, a project that will give each European citizen and business unique and verifiable credentials which has recently kicked off pilots across the continent.
