Wondering what kind of activities would be best suited under this condition, maybe even to an advantange. I mean, instead of giving an interview to a journalist, where one needs a minimum short-term memory length, a different kind of interaction where the 7-second memory doesn't get in the way.

Also, if there is anything learned from "caching" (computing) that would be useful to those dealing with this condition: this case is not about speeding up external memory access (as in a CPU), but about replacing fast-access memory with slow-access, kind of the opposite direction.

And also, of course, yes, you're not the first one to wonder if there's a "recently developed" tool that would make Junko Mizuta's life better. https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1u2494l/woman_that...

I'm probably your wife.

It could be related to the personality trait of how much of our world model is "in our mind" vs "out there":

If I speak with you while working on the world model in my mind, it looks like I just "want to be heard". But your feedback is actually very important, it's just that it should only feed my mental world model.

I am then surprised that my math coprocessor reaches for the GPIO.

Not as described. But I would appreciate a connection with certain brands that have helped me solve a problem in the past. I wish I could go to the same shop and tell them "this was the solution back then, give me the latest iteration". For example: Moto G phone, Brother laser printer, Gap jeans, Geox cordless shoes. Don't waste any money trying to sell to me, just tell me what you have when I need to replace the previous one.

The article is missing this motivation paragraph, taken from the blog index:

> Graphics APIs and shader languages have significantly increased in complexity over the past decade. It’s time to start discussing how to strip down the abstractions to simplify development, improve performance, and prepare for future GPU workloads.

It is all about Christmas and New Year: cooking good healthy food for the extended family, and new year's resolutions.

Note that the first image is an interactive demo. Click or touch it. (It's not obvious from the text at the time of writing)

I was surprised that the podcast Stuff You Should Know now advertises a short firm video provider, but I couldn't explain exactly why. Maybe this sheds some light on my concerns.

As a player: What's the lag? Does it depend on the game and the gesture?

As a developer: I'd like to implement a "game" which would be ideal for Dynamicland (tens of cards with ID stickers on the corners), but this might be a simpler platform to set up and use. Would that be possible with the board as sold?

Reminds me of the recent Hacker News post about playing 90s TV just to relive the experience of sitting down in front of it and watch whatever was on.

Mice/mouses and fish/fishes are distinguished by whether they are homogeneous sets or not.

Isn't it similar to fish vs fishes?

This is a great answer. If I understood correctly: The feedback you give the user is different than a usual tuner in two ways: it is framed by the reference note, and is two-dimensional.
