Three bullet points, each with three sentences (ok last one has a semicolon instead) is a dead giveaway

No, they already do. None of the fabs (intel, tsmc, Samsung, etc.) build their own equipment. The secret sauce comes in designing the processes to integrate these machines into a cohesive months-long manufacturing process, building out the IP (aka what types of transistors and low-level features they can build) and so on. Companies like ASML and AMAT make machines with guarantees like “we can draw lines this small and deposit layers this thin” and it is up to intel or any other fab to figure out the rest.

Basically microorganisms were able to grow in a sterile asteroid sample faster than previously anticipated. So just because there are signs of life in a recently fallen meteorite is less likely to mean there are space bacteria on it.

Even if you don’t care about the ethical reasons, the copy everyone uses has been printed and re-digitized so it isn’t a great reference in the first place. About time.

Ok I tried to get this to work for a long time ~6 months ago. It doesn’t work. You can find datasets where it will work, but if you select random datasets you generally see 0 correlation between the predicted and actual values.
