My fridge has touch buttons, and they often go haywire and reprogram the desired temperature! They at least beep while the ghost is interacting with them, so I can go and make sure my drinks don't end up frozen.
My top of the line Android Auto compatable head unit is pretty ordinary. A RAM mount on the windscreen holding my phone is significantly more responsive!
In Australia here, gambling is a bit of a problem across the country, but the governments make so much tax revenue it is allowed to continue.
I know someone who works for one of the big betting companies here. He writes software that aids in direct targeting of problem gamblers based on their social profiles and anything else they can get their hands on.
Pushing drugs is bad but pushing gambling is totally legal.
Suffice to say I'm not a huge fan of said bloke, I think you're selling your soul to the devil, so to speak.
My opinion is that you're putting undue stress on yourself with the startup. Your number one problem is that your 9-5 ain't so good and you need either another job or another income stream.
Startup income isn't going to happen over night, so I think your efforts are not worth it given you're already stretched with the 9-5. I would be spending time on looking for either another job or a remote gig so you can give the 9-5 the flick.
Have you considered moving to Sydney or Melbourne? There are a lot of development jobs in these cities that pay well for people with experience.
Don't worry about the start up, I think. It's like worrying about wining second division on the lottery. Only work on it if you find it cathartic. Find another job, move cities if you need to.
