You aren't everyone else. You are you. Do what is best for you.
I would also explore if there is a way to make the deal a better option for you. Negotiate. If you've explored that, and it's still not, then walk away.
The only problem I have is that I may want to open more than one, and you seem to be limiting it.
Say, for example, I have a phone that is on there and see a new phone I want. I may want to compare size without needing to hold up my phone to the screen.
When I've hired people, while working as an engineering lead at a startup, It's never been about age, it's been about skills + personality. Out of a development team of around 10 people, I'd say 2 were >= 50 years old, a few 30 somethings and the rest around 20-25.
The Gun.io creator posted several bounties previously, which are still up. Including several which are fixed or have fixes in his GitHub pull requests (for LightWrite).
They haven't been closed so I assume the bounties haven't been paid. I get bad feelings about this.
I used to love my Microsoft Natural Ergo 4000 keyboard. I did find that the pressure (PSI to press a key) goes up quite a lot after owning one for a few months, which can cause finger pain if you are coding for long hours.
After having MS Ergo keyboards for about 7 years, I finally switched to a Kinesis model (http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/advantage_pro.htm), and although more expensive, the pressure has stayed consistent for the 1+ years of owning it.
