An interesting one to me was always this Italian comic that was extremely popular in Yugoslavia but hardly anywhere else. It’s called Alan Ford https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Ford_(comics). I wish I could get some copies now. I loved that dark humour as a kid.
After dealing with Microsoft’s subpar effort in porting their apps to Mac you won’t find too many people who will enthusiastically install another MS product on their Mac. Especially one so crucial to their workflow.
I get an email a day from an Indian company offering their services and Django and Python are never a part of their skill set. When I looked for a Django dev on Upwork there were very few Indians coming up. Ended up working with some Russians which were great but not much cheaper than local devs. I guess you always get what you pay for.
Chat is awesome. Personally I love it. You get to talk to someone in real time. What's not to like about it. I'm not sure why the OP is so revolted by it. Maybe remove the sound but leave the popup and chat.
Since China has had US military bases in its backyard for the past 70 years it finally feels that it’s big enough to flax some muscle in Pacific. Hence they’re doing that shit in South China Sea. US empire naturally sees this as a threat to its colonies and interests in Pacific. In order to seam like it’s doing something about it is pushing the anti China propaganda to its population by imposing the tariffs and in turn it is filling its coffers which are somewhat lighter since it gave the tax cuts to big business. Of course it has positioned the tariffs as if China is giving them that extra 25% instead of letting the American consumer realise that they’re the ones who will eventually foot that bill through higher prices. There won’t be any war. Neither country can afford it. And China won’t do much about it. They just want to seam like they’re retaliating in front of their population.
You nailed it. It’s cheap to borrow money and if you have a large deposit you can get a mortgage which your tenants will be paying off. Then you buy another. In Australia you can actually write the interest off as a tax expense. So it lowers your taxable income. With enough maintenance and repairs receipts and a few properties you’ll pay fuck all tax. Awesome way for people with money to make more money.
Sydney is a great example of where that doesn’t work. There’s a crane every 100 meters here and everyone but people with loads of money or rich foreigners is priced out.
Best comment here. Sydney AU has the same problem. The government is addicted to stamp duty and doesn’t want to do anything about the negative gearing and other handouts for the rich baby boomers. The situation is completely fucked up.
