I loved rotten dot com when I was a teenager (97ish time). Simpler times, where I was looking for gore and (a year or so later) Joes Cartoons (I’m super fly).
I do think the site, along with watching horror such as puppet master and reading Stephen King at 14, affected my psyche though.
It’s now viewed as levels depending on the amount of support needed. Level 1 may be able to mask compared to level 2 or 3, allowing them to be more part of society, but we still need accommodations otherwise we will burn out.
I was similar - primary school teacher wrote home to my parents asking their permission to slipper me (it was a no).
Diagnosed with adhd last year at 45, scored ridiculously high on self test aspie but no incentive to get an autism diagnosis atm (my wife is worried the far right will get in and they’ll go after the autistics).
Would have been nice to have had a diagnosis as a kid though - my life would have been quite different (maybe more hugs less drugs)

And how dare you call someone lazy if they have ADHD?!?
I’m the hardest working person I know - but because of meds, I have been able to focus better. My long term planning is 0, and my executive function is low. But sure, I’ll just try a bit more.
What the f is ‘early stage’ and ‘advance staged’ diabetic?
My wife is a T1D - you’re either diabetic or not.
Freestyles are not reliable to be used purely for managing immediate levels of glucose - it is more about trends and give an idea of whether it is going up or down.
This appears to be an education issue, for the users and also for the writer.
