thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discussYou seem to be in the farther right side of the spectrum in terms of your laptop longevity. 10 years is solid.
thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discuss8 years and still kicking? and with more life left? For a Dell, that's amazing.
thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discussAre you able to run any of the LLM apps (not the OSS ones) like codex or claude on your machine?
thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discussI've always upgraded mostly due to battery issues. Since the silicon era of macs, IDK if they replace the battery.
thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discussI had a MBP 2015, which I upgraded in 2020 to the MBA M1. Now, I'm thinking whether or not to upgrade to a more newer MBA.
thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discussThanks. Also, 5-7 years seems like a common timeframe from what I've noticed in this comment section.
thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discussWould you mind sharing which LLM you're running locally on your F15?
thallavajhula·2 uur geleden·discussHow's the Framework laptop? I've heard good things about it, mostly from DHH.
thallavajhula·16 uur geleden·discussThat's basically one of the main reasons I'm trying to switch my M1 Air.
thallavajhula·16 uur geleden·discuss17?! Holy cow that's a really long time. What OS do you run on it?
thallavajhula·7 dagen geleden·discussI use DayQuil/NyQuil when I get a cold and in my case, it's always worked well. It suppresses the symptoms and lets me carry on with my day-to-day. I did try once going 1 week without it and it was hell.
thallavajhula·17 dagen geleden·discussWow. I've been following Om since 2011 and this is such a sudden news. I just opened HN and this title shook me. It literally did. Wow. RIP, Om.
