We're excited to announce a major update to SeaLion. SeaLion is built on top of a lot of feedback from SysAdmins, DevOps and many industry experts who helped us mold this product to what it is today.
If you're new to SeaLion, it's a Linux server monitoring tool designed to view the raw output for critical events and optimize server performance.
With the latest update, we have added integrations with popular services like MongoDB, Redis, NGINX, Apache, and MySQL. One agent to monitor all these services and you can use the custom framework to monitor any other Linux-based service.

An HN post title is of 80 characters. That’s the space you have to lure the reader. We spent more time coming up with the title, than to write the product launch blog. Our product is a sysadmin tool. So we ran these titles by resident sysadmins on what would push their buttons and chose this:

This title did make the sysadmins tick. We got nearly 10K visits in a few hours and brought down our servers.
This is one of the many things we did. We have spoken about the whole exercise in the post.
My company uses LastPass. It's a nice service.
- The admin will have control over what service you need to have access to.
- Change password often and will be accessible by team mates without having to remember anything.
Simplifies a lot of other things, all you have to remember is the master password.
