I think since they've managed to minimize the screen bezel, they can fit a 14" screen in the body of an older 13" and a 16" in the body of an older 15"?
Lot's of what we (most other first world countries) take for granted is not present in the US.
Health care insurance for example can eat a good chunk of that 3.6kUSD: the average cost of individual health insurance premiums is $440 for an individual and &1,168 for a family, in 2018 according to eHealth [1]
Without getting political about this issue, I have a question.
I imagine the reason you're carrying is for self defence, say in the case of an active shooter for example.
Let's say you're able to take down the shooter. During the fiasco that ensures, wouldn't you be afraid of being mistaken as the active shooter by the police? It seems generally they're pretty trigger-happy..
(Again, not to start a political thread about this, I'm just simply curious, coming from a country where we can't carry guns.)
My understanding is that the 737 does not use Fly by wire [1] and if I remember correctly it's because they wanted to piggyback on the original 737 certification. I could be wrong.
I'd rather just type CAD to USD.. or BTC to USD, or any other combination in my address bar than type xe.com, load a bunch of libraries, including Facebook connect.
Ghostly reports 6 trackers blocked.
Furthermore, it took 3.45 seconds to load xe.com in Incognito, while google only took 1.1
However I still wish they'd be able to get the bezel down to the size of an XPS 13
