This doesn't mean much on its own. People have to die from something eventually, if someone is living a longer life due to not dying for other reasons, they get older and are more susceptible to heat.
When your PR build takes more than an hour you'll think twice before creating multiple PRs for multiple related commits (e.g. refactoring+feature) when working on a single issue.
I relate to that and I think the real reason some people struggle to believe that is because not everyone has a great work environment at work. I have one, I actually look forward to coming to the office sometimes.

When decoded, it appears to read:
"test message"
The gibberish you see is a series of zero-width or unprintable Unicode characters
I don't think you know what you're talking about, or you are omitting western Europe. In Germany/Austria most workers are on collective bargaining agreements (different and specific for each industry, incl IT) which is regulated by unions plus org-specific councils (Betriebsräte in AT/DE, similar in other countries). Similar for Switzerland, also Collective labour agreements in Netherlands. Seems to be similar in Spain and France but these I didn't have experience with. So yeah, your comment is at least misleading or ignorant and bullshit at most
he's not even pretending he has regrets. All that around is just PR, he's a serial manipulator and there's no reason to believe that he's suddenly changed after such a short period of time.
