It is not debatable. Palestine is a recognized member so according to the law they have jurisdiction. If these laws have any usefulness if no one will follow it is debatable though.
The US has always been led by Thugs. If you think they ever took international or humanitarian law seriously they would not be scared to join the ICC, and you've only been paying attention to propaganda, not what the US has actually been doing since the inception of those laws.
Sure, but clearly that is not a requirement to be sanctioned nowadays, it just shows how f*d you are when you DO get sanctioned, and the bar for that is lowering by the day it seems.
Exactly! Same here. But man it's going to be a painful move, so much is coupled to that. I already have a GrapheneOS phone, which ironically has to be a Pixel to run it.
Fake as in, they're not allowed to call it "old cheese" because it's a protected term for cheese of a minimum age. But it might even be preferred by some because the texture is still a bit softer. I like it, but as with a good single malt, I wouldn't pay the same price if it's artificially aged.
Does anyone know how/if using BTC as daily currency works in practice? Can El Salvadorians just add it to their Google Wallet?
I don't know much about cryptocurrencies but there seems to be a scaling issue, last thing I read it can only handle 7 transactions/s, is that still valid?
If so, then how would this scale to a country-wide payment system?
Reminds me of the final outcome of the absurd series Mrs. Davis, where (spoiler warning) humanity has voluntarily succombed to the arbitrary assignments of a single AI-based customer rewards points app, because it was just a bit smarter than humans at manipulating people.
I know c# is not the coolest kid on the blcok, but my pick would be Blazor. Since it's all based on .net it's mature, performant, stable (finally, now with .net 8), long term support, great tooling and readily available strategies for testing, configuration, deployment, debugging etc.
And because I'm so tired of NPM/JavaScript (UI) frameworks reinventing themselves with new name every 6 months.
