Here is what I generally practice, perhaps not on all days. I work 3-4 days remote, and need these to maintain sanity.

- Always find time/means to accommodate regular sanitizing tasks: exercise, meditation, reading, repeat
- Lists tasks for the day first thing in the morning, set approximate time slots
- Use "commute time" (e.g. 1.5 hrs) to learn something new
- Make sure to proactively "ping" and interact with colleagues everyday
- Do not miss company meetings such as engineering sync. Things discussed here translate into tasks
- Empathize & respect off timezones
- Spend time in "catching up" & reviewing actual tasks (e.g. code review) from colleagues in a
different timezone. This could be the first thing in the morning, just so you know what you
have to work on. For instance, this could be GitHub/Jira issues & PRs
- Be proactive on GitHub/Jira issue tracking, updating, commenting, PRs
- Email hygiene - respond within 6 hours, so it doesn't crossover timezones
- Slack: respond immediately; if not available, turn off. Snoozing yourself can be annoying to colleagues
- Post to daily updates. It forces you to not slack continuously, and everyone knows what you work on
