They're not only stigmatized; they're illegal to build in most residential areas.
This is great. This increases the housing supply, helps intergenerational socialization, is budget (utility base fees) friendly, and climate (increases used existing structure utility, the space and appliances will be better utilized) friendly

Nowadays, weekly hotels have some stigmas attached; and even then don't have the services that boarders would have (breakfast, hand laundry).
