The linked channel proves how broken YouTube is: the guy shows just a map during the entire video and yet it has been hit and demonetized. The purpose clearly seems to silence the channel rather than asking for ransom, so I would assume there are Russian actors behind. Let's see how much time will take Google to address this flaw properly, assuming they will.
I still haven't figured out why a some Indians support Russia in the invasion and genocide of Ukraine.
Am I missing some part of history? Or it's just resentment towards the West, and Ukrainians genocide would be a "failure of the west"?

It may be due to a dynamic of right-wing leaders feeling that they are in the same clique against modern liberal secularism.
USSR was seen in a positive light vs the US and Modi appreciates Putin for the same reasons Trump does.
It’s resentment and nationalism.

If you seek the truth, you will find it. In fact, a majority of people in this world are on the side of the Russians, despite what you were led to believe. A good starting point is to listen to Professor John Mearsheimer.
1) "a majority of people in this world" don't give a fuck, factually speaking; 2) if they did, that still wouldn't be an independent reason to think that's correct--you may not have noticed, but most people are selfish, stupid, and ignorant; 3) "despite what you were led to believe." -- it was never a claim of anyone pro-Ukraine that the majority of people in the world are on their side. Nor should it be. The opinion of the majority does not determine what is right.
Why do you claim the "majority of people" support the genocide of Ukraine? What have Ukrainians done to more than 5 billion people to support wiping out of Ukraine?
If it was the majority, I shouldn't need to seek it, it would be out there to see.

The genocide came from within.
Does this attack involve actual hacking, or is this yet another example of abuse of Youtube's poorly copyright protection system? For years now we've observed time and time again that it's trivial to abuse to censor content from real content producers.
Big Content loves to paint copyright violations as theft, but this abuse of copyright protection systems is the actual theft: the owner actually loses their content, and directly and provably loses the money they would have made on this content.

Social engineering remains a hack mode. And a highly effective one.
This is more a systems engineering hack (there's no social persuasion required). But it remains a means which achieves and ends, against the putative intent of the system itself.

Does this type of attack have a name?
"ContentID abuse" is the best I'm able to find.
Though it has certain similarities to "swatting" or "joe-job" attacks, leveraging false reporting or false attribution to impose harms on others through defensive, protective, police, or legal mechanisms.

I suppose it's privilege escalation in some sense.
There's a chance the perpetrator has simply compromised a legitimate copyright authority's account.
It's definitely disturbing that "basically anyone" has the capability to participate in this sort of censorship though.
