Murder a man with a gun, you get prison. Murder a man with a pen, you get a bonus.
You can legally make your own firearms. It's a right that predates modern technology, which simply makes it more accessible. The term "ghost gun" is designed to mislead and promote unnecessary gun control by framing a legal practice as something to fear.
And the idea that people are "Skirting around the law" isn't true. Making your own guns is legal.
The article is framed to scare the reader with false facts.

I mostly agree with you but there are some caveats and it varies by location in the US. [1] While I am in one of the most firearm friendly states I will personally avoid 3D printed firearms until the federal and state laws are more clear and aligned. Aside from the legal ambiguity aspect I would want something battle hardened and pressure tested that I know won't blow up in my face.

3d printing is about doing it quickly. if you have a spare afternoon a p80 pistol frame, can be crafted by hand, and it will last for a long time.
the components that will 'blow up' are not regulated beyond retailers assesment, of intentions, and right to refuse a sus business transaction

p80 is defunct and sold off [0].
A 3d printed frame with fiber filament will last a long time. That is the future, conventional injected molded polymer 80% companies for handgun frames have been sued into oblivion.

aluminum, or mild forged steel, blueprints or coordinates, and goto your workshop.
trust only steel.

You are correct, states that are heavily against gun ownership and have many laws to punish gun owners with limits on functions, looks and arbitrary restrictions means you are already a possible future criminal.
Just putting a sticker on your gun can be used against you in a court of law. The hate and prosecution against gun owners is a real problem.

I have a feeling that in order to deflect interest from the initial issue (health care), mainstream media will turn to its favourite topic, guns in America. Mainstream media is incapable of offering a real critique of Luigi M's actions, and of course they are part of the power structure so they must instill a bit of fear and distance the public from the very real actions that have occurred.
