I share your opinons! And, I have an EV - its a wonderfully utilitarian, fantastically reliable, incredibly cheap transportation device. But its a passion-inducing as driving a golf cart - all utility, no drama, no experience.
I don't think Lamborghini etc will close up - I think they'll just get more and more expensive as ICE engines get penalized in more markets.

If there's a place for ICE in the future, I have to say its in limited production, bespoke passion vehicles.

Mercedes AMG used to (maybe still does) have a single mechanic build the entire motor, and their name would be on it. You pay the big bucks for a lovingly built piece of high-performance machinery and the feeling that evokes.
When I turned 21 I did one of those skid schools where they put you in a 400 hp manual and you rip around a track, slalom, drag strip, skid pad, etc. It was a great experience and they really teach you how to handle the machine.
And even though my 2013 VW diesel only makes like 150 hp it's unquestionably fun to drive.
EVs simply do not evoke the same sense of being connected to the road. They're bland and uninteresting. I hated driving my buddy's Tesla. Sure, they're quick off the line but the experience feels cheap and sterile. So it's little wonder to me, at least, that high-end supercar manufacturers are struggling to adapt.
I suspect Lamborghini and many others will close up shop in my lifetime.
