I had some coins in a smaller exchange that went down, as in at least 3-4 bitcoins that were left over in account. Maybe it's worth checking on?

Those don't do shit. I tried getting it to stop recommending me fucking Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro videos for years, but I guess I just can't escape the angry 30-something category.

I think Youtube's recommendation algorithm is an abomination that has caused real harm to society.

Well, Facebook gets away with absolute murder in regard to copyrighted infringement (especially in the non-English parts of the site) so it's a good fit.

I mean this seriously, more Americans should see what those ISIS videos are like.

More Americans should read the writings of Osama bin Laden too.

It's not that this material isn't horrendous, but it's very different from what you'd expect -- the people behind it are not dumb, and like all good propaganda the rationale is selectively built on compelling facts.

> And here's the worst part: We grew up with this shit. My generation was one of the first (1987) to have their formative social years immersed in this shit.

Yeah, I am only a year away, born in 1988. Our family's first home computer was put in my room when I was 6 years old and my parents were hands-off about using it, so I grew up on multi-player gaming, forums, chat rooms, porn, etc. It's difficult to express how strongly the internet shaped the direction of my life, and I'm not even as addicted as most people.

Not having a phone helps with staying off Facebook...
