Same problem with music, I thought I somehow broke their engine because it keeps feeding me some random hit songs I liked 5 years ago and does it for the past 5 years. You would think they want to show me something new for their engagement metrics but I guess not.
This is almost a hysterical response, there are so many more dangerous jobs where people actually die but because they are not academics no one literally ever cared. Thinking covid is some grave danger to teachers now when we know about the disease is insane.
Google ranks things better, at least compared to the play store. Ads and its side effects make apps and the stores total freakshow. You can't install any app for kids by using simple search without dark patterned ads flying at you and your kid by accident opening them. Some poor soul is paying for this so called engagement too.
It doesn't happen that often, that's the point. People are afraid everything and everyone. We euros tend to forget how big USA really is. Of course all sort of shit happens.
The person or persons running the site have a history of very stubborn behaviour. I do appreciate the service they are running.
One time they blocked the whole Finland because the owner had problems with customs and somehow related the incident with Russia while saying Finnish gov and bur businesses can never be independent.
