How has Google not created an AI assistant that blows everyone else out of the water? Why is Amazon more often cited than Google and Siri in this space? What is going on?
You're right: this does have to do with gender. It's the glass cliff. Example: have a failing corporation? Jump off the ship and have a lady run the helm until it sinks! And guess what? Blame her for not turning it around.
This is exactly why people seem to "deny, deny, deny" because in reality they know the glass cliff to be a real phenomenon. And a sad one, too.
The travel distance of the key strokes is becoming gradually smaller and smaller. What is Apple's endgame, you might ask? Get consumers used to a completely glass-touch based keyboard.
When you fly in an airplane the pilot is basically checked out the entire time because of autopilot. Over thousands of miles, too. But guess what? They have steering wheels (or whatever it is you call them) and manual control when things get dicey.
Point of person above you is that this should always be a feature of driverless cars: manual control. Always.
I know Alphabet is peddling some blind-person shit, but let's be real, that's many year away (2050+) and would be for limited use cases.
Actually the Brown U. political economist Mark Blyth predicted global Trumpism well before Trump was elected based off economic and political events around the globe. Trump was not a unique phenomenon. Trump was part of a global domino effect. Check him out if you're more interested.
Not really. There's nothing stopping the capitalist class from reverting back to, say, de facto feudalism. Don't think that the working-class always has a way forward. We do regress, and we have been regressing.
Sorry but without the rigors of scientific testing, this is just more woo-woo nonsense that isn't effective.
I think the journalists mention that this form of therapy wouldn't "get a second glance from Psychiatrists" is telling.
There's more rigorous work being done on PTSD and MDMA and it is actually working compared to this bogus bullshit "therapy" being peddled. Utter nonsense. Psychiatrists know what they're doing. There's no need to follow cultish fads because they helped a dozen yahoos.
It was without a doubt the gratuitous amounts of cocaine. Take Robin Williams: he had major heart surgery due to heavy cocaine use. The ramifications of 70s-level cocaine abuse is still being felt today.
You're saying this based off an incomplete picture of the Big Fast Food endgame.
Let me explain: this face-scan technology is just the base precursor to how it would work in the future. In the future the face scan would recognize who you are and what you've ordered at McDonalds since forever -- like going over to Grandma's house for dinner. They'll probably program it say comfortable things like: "Same as usual, Sam? 2 Big Macs and a small coke?" But then they'll expand it to do more risky stuff based on your demographic and history like: "Maybe swap those 2 Big Macs for 2 McRibs?" THe possibilities are endless and the ability to recognize your face would be limitless. It could first start out on a volunteer trial basis and go from there.
I'm pretty sure my iPad has the same level of graphical output as the Switch.
Nintendo is completely out of touch.
