I used to use perl regularly. It was installed a lot of places and was superior to the other common options. The tooling for things like python,.net langs, and C++ are decades ahead now. It's just less error prone to use those. Part of that is because of Perl's grammar; part of that is the culture of the language.
Also, a lot of the CPAN modules have been orphaned for over a decade and npm/matt's script archive level quality on average.
On Android, the default SSL client settings require the full chain. Simply installing a rouge ca cert won't work for most applications out-of-the-box. If you are interested in collecting the data sent by a particular application, you can patch the bytecode to override this behavior. This also works against cert pinning.
scripts that block and load resources after dom render do slow down rendering. It's something to consider if you're not just hobbling together web-idiotware.
Would be interesting if they tabulated the most read/most bought with respect to my preferences. The only thing I get out of this list as it is, is that people have bad taste.
