I beg to differ, Linux is way more straightforward. Within each new Windows version they keep switching things around, adding layers upon layers and options within options within option that point back toward the initial options page, where you end up in a loop. The search function rarely finds the settings I want. Edge search results by default, including digital cancer such as Instagram, TikTok, et cetera, on the start menu by default.

Now too, for normal computer users who don't want to tweak their operating system and only need basic utilities, and are able to read and follow simple instructions, Linux has long become way more accessible than Windows.

Each iteration I dislike Telegram a bit more. It used to be the sleek "flagship killer" among chat software, but now it's slowly becoming bloatware. Their positive stance on pyramid schemes was were it all went downhill.

“I don't really want to deal with all the little annoyances anymore” and “I have zero issues with Windows” does not compute. Or are you running Windows XP/7?

I'm running EndevourOS (Arch), KDE Plasma 6 on X11 and rarely have issues. Wayland isn't nice to me though. And as long as XScreenSaver doesn't work on it I likely won't switch. The same for AutoKey, although Hawck seems to be an alternative (https://github.com/snyball/Hawck).

Good one.

The first website is still more user-friendly, faster, and prettier than most of the Web today.

“Web4 should run on LaTeX. The World Wide Web is broken: it is dominated by a handful of websites, nearly everything is financed by ads, bloated tech needlessly slows down surfing, NFTs and blockchain are digital cancer, et cetera. Stop it. Just stop it.” —https://www.cynicusrex.com/file/web4.html

Money corrupts; bitcoin corrupts absolutely. Disregarding all of bitcoin's shortcomings, a financial instrument that brings out the worst in people—greed—won't change the world for the better. https://www.cynicusrex.com/file/cryptocultscience.html

It's by Facebook, currently hidden behind the veil of Meta, so what's the catch?

“The world of cryptocurrencies is one of the sectors of society that embraces the "degen" the most. It has ups and downs that are unseen in almost any other market.”

Because it's a multi-level marketing pyramid/Ponzi scheme.

I find it most satisfying that the majority of negative comments just corroborate the article.

Horrible rendering on mobile. And screw those pyramid scheme (crypto“currency”) donation links.

So merely by luck of being born earlier you deserve to be wealthier than any future generations?

> You buy bitcoin at the price you deserve.

This is out-of-touch on so many levels. What about people born in ten years? What about people born in ten years in developing countries? The only thing crypto“currencies” have done is increase the wealth disparity and greed.
