I agree. If people lack the emotional intelligence to realise when it is time to stop a conversation ( in real life and on social media), then they are simply being infantile by asking government or tech companies to do it for you. The block/ignore buttons are there for a reason.
Western countries have been going into mass hysteria over this, prompted by their government leaders and media. While the initial panic would have served the purpose of making everyone aware of the risks, this ongoing behavioural psychologist nudge terror is the type of overkill that will result in cultural and mental dysfunction for a generation, if not more. Guess who stands to benefit the most- it isn't people at ground level, that's for sure.
